FAQ
• Can I order an instrument with decoration other than yours?
Answer:
The decorative elements of our instruments belong exclusively to our workshop and happen to be commercially protected. We don’t use copies of other peoples work and we also don’t use decorative elements that do not belong to our ‘repertoire’ of decorations. However, you can order an instrument without decorations.
• How can I be assured that the instrument I choose will satisfy me acoustically?
Answer:
In the case that you are not satisfied please see the section on guarantees. One can make as many changes as necessary in order to find the instrument that is fully satisfactory. The customer will only be charged for additional shipping costs, since the cost of the initial shipment is covered by us.
• Should I choose a treble or bass instrument ?
Answer:
As a musical instrument ages it matures and its sound becomes stronger more bass. It is advisable for a young instrument not to be especially bass to start with since there is a danger that with time it may sound excessively or unpleasantly bass.
• Do decorations influence the sound?
Answer:
Only those that are located on the sound-board. However, even there the material that we use is exceptionally thin layers of wood of different colours that are compatible with good sound. This is the reason that we purposely avoid plastic as a decorative material. For instance, the black background one sees in the decoration of the bouzouki is actually painted wood.

• Who is charged for shipping costs?
Answer:
If someone orders a musical instrument from within the limits of the European Union and Greece then, naturally, the shipping cost is borne exclusively by our workshop. In the case of changes, repairs, maintenance or whatever further shipment of the instrument the cost is borne by the buyer. In the case of purchases from beyond the borders of the EU the shipping costs are shared between the workshop and the buyer. The company we use is UPS.
• Do you accept instruments not made by you in exchange for one of your own instruments?
Answer:
No and the reason is that we are only familiar with the way our instruments are made and have complete knowledge of their stability. Thus, we can only exchange our instruments with any other one of our instruments.
